| Device identifier Anonymous | The App uses a system-generated anonymous device identifier (UUID) as your account, containing no personal identity information. It is used to sync your publicly published spores between your device and our server. No registration, no phone number required. |
| Nickname Auto-generated | The nickname is an anonymous label auto-generated from the device number (e.g. "Keeper 1234"). It cannot be customized and is used only to tell keepers apart in the Spore Pool. |
| Creature trait data | Each creature is generated locally and deterministically by an algorithm from a random "seed"; its appearance, ID number and genetic fingerprint contain no personal information. Data stays on your device; only when you actively "publish" a creature is its genetic information sent to the server for display. (For progress sync used by growth reminders, see "Archive growth progress" below.) |
| Photos On-device | If you use the "grow one from a photo" feature, the photo is read once in device memory for color and texture statistics only — never uploaded, never saved to disk, and never used for face or identity recognition — and is discarded immediately after reading. |
| Subscription status | The "Glimmlet Plus" subscription is processed and verified by Apple inside the App Store; we never receive or store your payment card details. Entitlements are unlocked by on-device receipt validation, and we do not record or store any subscription state on our own servers. |
| Push token Optional | If you enable growth reminders, we store one push token (Apple Push Notification service, APNs) to deliver notices such as "it has grown". You can disable notifications anytime in system settings, which deactivates the token. |
| Transfer / gift records | Only for spores you publish publicly: we record ownership and past holders (the transfer chain) for provenance and display. Creatures that are never published do not appear in the Spore Pool and generate no transfer records. |
| Archive growth progress For reminders | To remind you when a creature "has grown", the App syncs — at launch and on returning to the foreground — the content fingerprint, display name, companionship start time and cumulative feeding count of every creature in your archive (including unpublished local ones) to the server. These data are used solely to estimate growth milestones and generate reminders, and contain no appearance parameters, photos or identity information. You can turn reminders off in notification settings, or erase this synced data via "Clear local records" in the App. |
We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising profiles, or transfer it to unrelated third parties.
Your creature data stays on your device by default; published content is stored on our own server. We protect data with access control, transport encryption and other measures. Please note: no online service can promise absolute security — please take care of your device and account.
The App is rated 13+. We recommend that users under 13 use the App under the guidance of a parent or guardian, and never provide real identity information. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected a minor's personal information, we will delete it immediately.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or by other reasonable means; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
